OIG Auditor
The Miami-Dade County Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced, professional Auditor to augment its staff. The OIG's mission is to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, waste, mismanagement, misconduct and abuse of power through independent oversight of County affairs. OIG Auditors analyze and evaluate the management and performance of County departments and programs, which are held accountable as responsible stewards of public funds. The successful candidate will have strong financial aptitude, a thorough understanding of business processes and controls, excellent interpersonal skills, the capacity to work effectively with minimal supervision, and the ability to clearly articulate concepts, and audit results verbally and in writing.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline is preferred. Minimum of three years of professional audit experience, preferably conducting performance audits with a public/government agency. Professional designations, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Inspector General Auditor, (CIGA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), or Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) preferred.
